The power couple discusses the new stand-alone The Walking Dead: The Alien story from Brian K. Vaughn and Marcos Martin, available on Panel Syndicate. First, we watched HBO's The Jinx (2:16) and also discuss Marvel's plans for their Inhumans movie and the Godzilla: Resurgence movie coming out of Japan (5:01). We also have a brief discussion about the diversity of comic book characters and how the established industry is trying to increase the diversity of the characters they offer (11:26). Then we get into some new trailers, hitting The Lobster, The Accountant, and Assassin's Creed (19:28). Of course, we do talk about episode 4 of the new season of Game of Thrones (27:33) before we get into The Walking Dead: The Alien (33:26). Issue #2 of the new Black Panther series is next (39:06), and we wrap up with a discussion about an article in The Atlantic, written by David Sims, that tackles the loop that network television seems to be stuck in when developing new shows (44:28).
